Hi, I'm Abbey Reznicek.
I graduated with honors from the University of Missouri with two bachelor's degrees — Documentary Journalism and Film Production. I also completed a minor in Multicultural Studies to capture all sides of film and audiences.
Currently, I am the Post Production Coordinator for Apollonian Films, where I organize workflow and meetings as well as manage source material. I am also the Director of Photography for a film being produced summer of 2018.
I am also the Social Media Intern for THE S WORD, a documentary by MADPIX FILMS that is shattering the silence around suicide. I also manage/edit the #SWordStories, which are stories from suicide survivors, loss survivors, experts and more.
Much of my experience came from my time at RAKE FILMS as its Post Production Assistant. This involved editing, color grading, audio engineering, assistant producing and research. Here, I was editor on PARADISE IN ADDIS ABABA and assistant editor on THE END FUND IN NIGERIA, THE CURSE and HOUSE-TO-HOUSE. I was also Outreach Coordinator for EL HARA.
Other major projects I have/am working on are my documentary short UNTIL ARCTURUS, my fiction short PERSISTENCE, director of photography for THE SIT DOWN and audio capturer for CHAMOMILE and FOOLS AT HEART.
Many of the films I work on are about mental health and giving voices to the under-represented. My passion lies here and drives the work I create.
